Day 17 | Jesus Saves

The more we get into God’s Word and understand His nature, actions, and plans for those who love Him, the more we see His incredible grace poured out daily upon all His children. Jesus is our Redeemer who saved us from our sins, seated us in heavenly places, and made us joint heirs with Him. As Jesus sits at the Father’s right hand, He intercedes for us and defends us against the enemy's accusations.

The saving power of Jesus is eternal and complete. Because of His redemptive labor on the brutal cross of Calvary and His magnificent resurrection, He has been given all authority to save those who put their faith in Him. He rescues us from sin’s penalty and promises to transform every part of our being—physical, mental, and spiritual. Through the Holy Spirit, He continually shapes us to reflect His character and likeness.

His saving grace is not only for the present, but it will be carried through to its completion in the ages yet to come. Jesus promises never to abandon those who place their trust in Him. His intercession knows no limits of time or place. His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us reaches us wherever we are.

As we grow in our knowledge of the Word of God and the wonderful covenant relationship He has with His people, we come to understand who God is, what He is doing, and everything He has planned for those who love Him. The more we acknowledge the abundant privileges He rains down upon our heads, the more we realize that He is showering us with blessings. When we witness revelations of His glory, we become aware of the grace that continues to be bestowed upon all who have been purchased with Jesus’s blood. How can we not adore the one who has saved us to the fullest extent possible—forever?

Reflection: Do you believe that your salvation is not merely to have the assurance of going to heaven someday but also to live a victorious life while you’re on earth? Ask the Holy Spirit to deepen your understanding of Christ’s finished work on the cross and the grace He freely gives.

Prayer: Father, thank You for saving and sanctifying me. Thank You for Jesus, who daily intercedes for me. Help me to live my life in a way that brings glory to Him. Amen.
