Living in Increase (Part 11) - Increase in JoySample
Freedom from Confusion
Do you ever feel like you are running a race every day that you can never win? The one who designed this “race” to nowhere wants to keep you from the truth. The one who persuades and throws you into confusion is your enemy, but the One who calls you is Jesus. Who are you spending the most time listening to?
Jesus doesn’t want us to fall into the trap of false teaching. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough” means that one false teaching can spread quickly among believers like a bit of yeast can make a whole batch of dough rise.
Our world is full of big and small lies leading us away from God’s truth. But make no mistake; legalism is another stumbling block for Christians. It’s one of the ways we start living in deceit. We become trapped in it, and suddenly, we want to win a race for “Best Christian.” Whenever the enemy reminds us of this, he steals our joy. Paul reminds the Galatians that the one who persuades is not the one who calls us. Jesus is calling us. Our relationship with Jesus is the only thing that matters.
It’s time to break free from the race of legalistic confusion and start running into the arms of Jesus. We need to get into God’s Word for clarity. Clarity will release the pressure of a race we weren’t called to run, leaving us available to increase in joy.
