Journey With Jesus 365Näide

Is it wrong to be rich?
Observing Jesus’ interaction with the rich young ruler, we see that the rich man cared more about his money than he cared about God. Jesus teaches that it is difficult for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of heaven. This does not mean that a rich person cannot believe in Jesus, but that oftentimes, an abundance of money can blind a person from recognizing their need for a savior. The Bible does not teach that money is evil but that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Anything that becomes more important than God in our lives is an idol. Our relationship with God should be our number one priority.
Is there anything in your life that has become more important to you than your relationship with God?
