The Reliability of Scripture

As believers, we stand on the foundation of Scripture, which offers insights into God’s character and His plan for humanity. Many people may try to disprove the reliability of scripture. We have a couple of things to consider in that regard.

We can look at the historical reliability. Archaeological discoveries continue to show that the Bible is just as much a historical book as a religious book. Places and events described in the Bible are continually uncovered, which goes on to validate the scriptures.

We can look at the fulfilled prophecies within Scripture, predictions of the Messiah, and events surrounding Israel’s restoration. This shows that His plan continues to unfold perfectly in accordance with His Word and allows us to hold to the promises found in His Word.

Also, the transformational power of Scripture cannot be overstated. It speaks directly to our hearts, challenging and correcting us, and leading us toward righteousness. As we engage with scripture, we experience its life-changing power. We have our minds renewed, spirits lifted, and lives transformed.
