Reflect

The Jesus candle is the center of the Advent wreath, and we want Him at the center of our lives as well. Jesus brings us abundant blessings when we put our trust in Him. This story tells believers what we can look forward to in the times to come.

When John wrote the book of Revelation, believers experienced persecution. The vision John described surely brought them hope and encouragement. Though our circumstances may be different, we too experience brokenness in the world that God did not intend in His original creation. We can have that same hope and encouragement as we wait for the fulfillment of his vision.

Evil abounds, but not forever. Take heart, a new heaven and earth are a certainty for those who follow Jesus. A pain-free life, living water, and the trees of life will be available to all of us. And best of all, looking into the face of the Lord will be an everyday occurrence! Hallelujah, worthy is the Lamb!
