Living in Increase (Part 12) - Increase in FocusNäide

The Gift of Evangelists
Evangelists are included in the list of “gifts” Christ gives to His church. The word “evangelist” represents a “bringer of good tidings.” Evangelism is the act of sharing good news with others! And while we know from the first few days of this week’s devotional that evangelism is sharing about Jesus, Ephesians 4:12 reveals a new aspect of evangelism.
As evangelists, our responsibility is to “equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church.” While some people are called to be evangelists, all of us, as believers in Jesus, are responsible for evangelizing. We are responsible for bringing good news, not just to talk about Jesus, but to equip people with His Word. Evangelism is sharing the good news of the Gospel and equipping people to share the Gospel with others.
Evangelism is a gift, and it is one that we must share with the world!
