Gratitude for Daily ProvisionSample
Day 1: The God Who Provides
In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells His followers not to worry about what they will eat, drink, or wear. Instead, He assures them that their Heavenly Father knows their needs and will provide for them. He instructs us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
It can be easy to focus on what we lack, especially in times of financial difficulty. But when we focus on God’s kingdom and trust His timing, we can rest in the assurance that He will provide for our needs. The daily provisions we sometimes take for granted—food on our table, a roof over our heads—are all signs of His care. Even when we don’t have enough, God is at work behind the scenes, ensuring we have what we need today.
Take a moment today to reflect on how God has provided for your needs, big and small. Thank Him for His faithfulness, and ask Him to help you focus on His kingdom rather than your material concerns.
Reflection Questions:
• How has God provided for you in times of financial uncertainty?
• What does it mean to “seek first the kingdom of God” in your current situation?
• How can you shift your focus from your financial concerns to trusting in God’s provision?
