Becoming WeightlessSample
THAT is your destination!
"Um, excuse me, you can stop singing now."
Is this really happening? Bewildered, I stood on stage during the wedding of a beautiful couple, about to start the third verse of "Amazing Grace" when the pastor interrupted me: "That was very nice, but that's enough."
I looked to the bride for help, who looked just as helpless. Unfortunately, what wasn't so funny is that this pastor had been seriously ill and hadn't really been aware of what was happening that day.
I've experienced all sorts of weddings and therefore also many mistakes and mishaps that can happen on such a day. And so it is on earth: Mistakes and mishaps happen—but you must still go on.
Why go on? What do I mean by that?
At another wedding I attended, the beautiful bride was walking towards her groom, who was practically exploding with love. In that moment, the pastor turned to me. We were sitting on the stage and could observe everything closely.
With radiant eyes, he said, "Déborah, it will be just like this. Jesus, the groom, will receive us like this. He is so in love with us and can't wait to finally have us with Him."
A wave of love flooded me. Yes, that's how I imagine Jesus too. And each and every one of us is His beloved bride—you are!
What a thought: There is someone who is so in love with you and can't wait to RECEIVE YOU!
"Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb." (Revelation 19:9 NIV)
"Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:3-4 NIV)
That's why you should keep going: because you're going there! To a place where there are no more tears. To a place where Someone is waiting for you, who loves you infinitely!
You are a miracle!
Déborah

About this Plan
This is my story. My story of how I almost lost everything, only to find rescue in Jesus. I am so happy that God can use me to share my story with you, on letting go, finding freedom, and becoming weightless.
