5 Keys to Effective EvangelizingSample
Key 4: Signs and wonders
Another very important key for evangelization is walking in signs and wonders.
Presenting a god to this world who can’t do anything isn’t interesting to the people. It is especially the signs and wonders that ensure that people will believe.
Jesus Himself says in John 4:48: “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
If you have a conversation with someone who has pain, and you speak to the pain and that person heals, that person is guaranteed to be won for Jesus in an instant.
In Matthew 4:23, you read that Jesus does three specific things: He is on the move, He teaches, and preaches. These three specific things lead to you seeing and doing signs and wonders.
Moving
Jesus went about. He didn’t stay sitting still but seriously got into action. He went. You, too, must go out.
Teaching
Jesus explained the scriptures to the people and therefore taught. You too must make sure that you can answer questions about the faith and the Bible. And that you can explain the Word to them. That’s why you must renew your mind with the Word (Romans 12:2) so that you know the Word and are never left speechless.
Let yourself be led by the Holy Spirit, Who will bring all things in remembrance (John 14:26).
Preach
This is crucial. You must preach grace and love, reconciliation and peace with God, the true Gospel. When you do that, you preach the Kingdom.
God will then confirm what you share with signs and wonders, see Mark 16:20:
“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.”
If we start moving,
and teach the people,
and preach the true Gospel,
then signs and wonders will follow automatically.
Jesus did this. And you also can do this in His Name.
Simply test it out and let yourself be surprised!
