The Purpose of ChristmasSample

Christmas is often called the most wonderful time of the year. And for a lot of us, that’s true! But if we’re honest, we’d probably admit that a better title might be to label it as the busiest time of the year. From big, family gatherings and office parties to church services and over-packed schedules for your kids, Christmas has a way of filling your calendar faster than you may even realize. But while all those things are usually good and fun, they have a way of causing us to miss it—to miss the purpose of Christmas altogether!

Amid a busy and bustling season, it’s important to take time to focus our hearts and attention back to what makes Christmas what it is. To focus our hearts and attention on the birth of Jesus and what that means for our lives every single day. So this week, do just that! Find some way to spend time with Jesus every single day. Even if it’s only a few minutes, set aside time to journal, pray, listen to music, or read the Bible. Whatever connects you back to Jesus, give yourself time to do just that and remember the purpose of Christmas this season.
