Coming to Christ
"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have past away. Behold all things have been made new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking they can't come to Christ until they get themselves together. In all honesty the first step is making the decision to come to Christ, as you are! Then allowing Him to do the work in you.
"God who began the good work in you, will be faithful to complete it."
Congratulations! You took the first step. Making the decision to turn away from your past, then in turn, follow Christ. You've unlocked a new level. A renewed version of yourself. Yes, you're still human. But you're under a new dispensation of grace. I don't know about you, but I'm so grateful for God's grace.
If I can be honest, there's a lot of things I've done in my past that I needed covered by His blood. I would fall short, get into some trouble. Then pray the same prayer. "God if you get me out of this..." But that's how good God is! His grace is sufficient.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I'm a sinner in need on your grace. You know my past, my flaws, and my failures. I believe that you died for all of those things. I ask you now to come into my heart. Make me new again. Today I've made the decision to turn the page. I make you the Lord, and the Savior of my life. I'll never be the same, from this day, and this page, forward. Amen.
