Professional /Business Lordship

There are many professionals and entrepreneurs who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ but do not easily hand over control of their finances and their company/profession. They feel that their experience or knowledge is enough to succeed; it seems that in this area, there is no need for God's guidance and intervention. However, the true lordship of Jesus Christ in the believer's life occurs when there is complete, radical, and irreversible surrender of control to Him over the entire life and every area of it.

This usually happens in two ways: the first occurs when we are saved and involves total surrender by placing our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. The second occurs as life is transformed, and we realize that there are areas (such as relationships, work, habits, etc.) where we still seem to be "in charge" and where we need to surrender to the Lord's loving guidance.

Christ will only be Lord of those areas of our lives that we surrender to Him. Have you surrendered control of your entire life to Jesus? What about your relationships, habits, and your professional/business life? Does God fully direct your finances, investments, and assets (both tangible and intangible)?

For reflection: True freedom is achieved by surrendering control of our lives and all its areas to Christ.
