Connect 40Sample
DAY THREE - MAKE DISCIPLES
Summary
Discipleship is following Jesus' teachings and helping others grow in their faith.
Gathered & “Scattered.” It's not just about attending church but also building close, supportive relationships. In Connect Groups at Linked UP Church, members support each other like a family, helping each other grow spiritually.
The Process, Not the Result. Discipleship takes patience and faith because growth may happen slowly, like seeds growing, but our efforts are valuable and will be rewarded by God.
Spiritual Parenting and Iron Sharpening. Are you ready to help someone else in their faith journey?
Connect to Family. As you meet with your group during Connect 40, we believe you will see how great the community you have experienced is. Pray about joining a Connect Group for the fall semester that starts in September.
Talk About It
1) How can forming close, supportive relationships within our church community help us grow spiritually? [Hint: Proverbs 27:17]
2) What practical ways can we encourage and guide others in their faith journey of following Jesus?
3) We often guide others to great restaurants, recommend good movies, or suggest fun activities. Sharing our experiences and insights helps others integrate smoothly into new environments, such as a job or neighborhood. In what ways can our “everyday discipleship,” like helping someone find their way in a new place, be a model for spiritual discipleship?
Take Action
Identify someone in your life who is new to the faith or seeking to grow spiritually. Commit to meeting with them regularly for mentorship, Bible study, or prayer. Share your experiences and encourage them in their journey to become a devoted follower of Christ.
