Hatred Towards Israel and the Jewish PeopleSample

Hatred Towards Israel and the Jewish People

DAY 2 OF 7

The Apple of God’s Eye

The text you just read says that Israel is God's apple of His eye. Whoever interferes with the people of Israel interferes with God Himself. Your eye is a sensitive spot. Just a speck of dust is enough to cause irritation or pain. Whoever hurts God's people hurts God Himself.

Satan is the great adversary of God, doing everything he can to hurt Him. Satan knows that he cannot defeat God, so he tries to hit God by directing his attacks on God's people. God called Abraham and promised him that his descendants would become great. The people of Israel were commissioned to be a light in the world so that the other nations would see Who the living God is. This explains why there have always been attacks against Israel and against the Jewish people. Satan knows that if he wipes them out, the name of God will no longer be remembered. That is exactly his goal: if people no longer think of God, then no one will turn to Him either.

Satan is trying to plunge as many people as possible into the abyss; he prowls around like a roaring lion.

Yet God's promises do not depend on what we do as humans. God is faithful and He does what He says He will do. Therefore, Satan will never succeed in wiping out Israel, even though he has come close many times in history. Because if he succeeded, it would mean that God is not faithful. He has promised to protect His people. Fortunately, we can know with certainty that God always keeps His promises!

Pray today: Lord God, thank You that You are faithful. And that throughout the history of Your people, You have always proved this. Thank You that through the Lord Jesus, we may know that You are also faithful to us. Deliver us from the evil one and let your will be done in heaven and on earth. Amen.

About this Plan

Hatred Towards Israel and the Jewish People

Israel has been hated as a people throughout the ages. Even before they entered the land of Israel, King Balak hired the prophet Balaam to curse the people. Later Haman sought to destroy the Jews. Antisemitism has taken various forms throughout the centuries. Unfortunately, it was often fueled from within the Church. Where does this aversion to Israel even come from?
