The Bedtime Story - Jesus Raises Jairus' Daughter

A mother tells her children a bedtime story about how Jesus raised a little girl from death to life. The story tells how Jesus cares for and loves people, helping to strengthen their faith and cast out their fears.

This story is also told in Matthew 9:18–26 and Luke 8:40–56. Many believe these multiple accounts prove the truth of the event. Because he was a religious leader in his community, Jairus' story quickly spread all over the region.

Jesus also healed a sick woman on his way to Jairus' house. No matter the situation, Jesus showed love and care to those around him.

2. Do you think the religious leaders at the temple approved of the selling of animals in the temple courts?
3. For those traveling from far away, purchasing animals for sacrifice at the temple was an important ritual. How do you think they felt about Jesus' criticism of the money changers and thieves?
