How to Overcome the Fear of Evangelism?Sample
Tell about your fear to God.
You are afraid. You realize that you have fear and are even willing to admit it. But don't let God be the last one you tell about your fear; let Him be the first.
God can offer us not only food and finances. He has a generous supply of boldness that He is ready to share with you if you just ask Him for it. In Acts 4:29, the disciples prayed: 'Grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word.' Two verses later, we are told: '... and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness!' (Acts 4:31).
Even when you approach an unbeliever to talk to them, you can whisper from your heart: 'God, give me courage.' We sincerely believe that God responds to such requests.
Let us also follow the example of the apostle Paul, who asked the believers in Ephesus to pray, 'that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel' (Ephesians 6:19). If we ask believers to pray for many things concerning our lives but do not emphasize the need for their prayers so that we may be bold in evangelism, it indicates our inability to correctly prioritize.
