Title: No More Darkness!
GENESIS1:3-5“And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.”
Are you afraid of the dark? Do you jump with fright when you hear creepy sounds in the middle of the night and you can’t see where they’re coming from? Me too!
Sometimes, you might hear the roar of a car in the night or the little paws of possums scratching the roof of the house. In the night, those noises sound a lot scarier than if you heard them during the day. Do you know why? Because things sound different when we can’t see them.
Or have you tried to walk down a narrow path in the dark? I have, and it’s really hard to see. You walk with your arms stretched out and really slowly so you don’t trip. God wanted us to have light, so he created it for us. He commanded, “Let there be light,” and light appeared. Suddenly, all the gloomy clouds exploded, and brightness shone in every nook and cranny.
God saw it was beautiful and bright, so he called it DAY and the darkness he called NIGHT.
Aren’t you glad that God created the day for us so we could enjoy and go on picnics, ride our bikes, play with our dogs and swim? But it’s also wonderful that he made the night where we could sleep and rest after a long, busy day. You should never feel afraid of the night because God created it for us. Thank you, Lord, for thinking of everything.
