Finding Our Muchness and Inheriting Audacious Boldness

DAY 8 OF 10

You Are Saved, So Sing!

Simon, a Pharisee, was blinded by his religious spirit. He deemed himself superior, judging both a woman and Jesus Himself. Yet, in his blindness, he failed to see his own sin. Conversely, the woman, bound by shame and sin, found redemption and wholeness in Jesus' presence. She offered to Jesus worship that defied a religious spirit.

Today, the religious spirit still lurks in our midst, imposing limitations, keeping us bound by intimidation, shame, and condemnation. It is an evil system that doesn't discriminate—it judges all, irrespective of gender, age, status, or health. It thrives on division, neglecting the marginalized to bolster its power and control.

But the woman in our story offers a way forward—a path to freedom from religious spirits. She invites us to see beyond mere forgiveness to courageous worship. Like her, our journey doesn't end with recognizing Jesus' identity and His transformative work. It continues with bold, extravagant worship.

True worship isn't confined to songs and prayers; it's living out who God says we are and doing what he asks us to do without shame or apology. It's embracing the freedom Jesus offers through the Holy Spirit, regardless of societal judgment. This radical obedience is the most potent weapon against religious spirits, dismantling their hold on our hearts and communities.

Fulfilling our God-given purpose aligns us with the woman's example, fixing our gaze on Jesus and lavishing Him with gratitude and praise. It shifts our focus from suspicion and blame to adoration and thanksgiving.

So, my sisters, let us break free from the grip of religious spirits. Let us walk humbly, bravely, and boldly, defying every religious spirit and embracing the fullness of God's purpose for our lives. In doing so, we offer the most courageous and extravagant worship to our Savior, transforming hearts and communities with His love and grace.
