Peace in an Anxious WorldSample
Day 1
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you; to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11.
When building a house, it is important to know a blueprint is established before any brick is ever laid. The planning is intentional, and the process is never in vain.
Our lives are similar to homes being built day by day. The great architect and contractor is the Lord, and His responsibility and loving care are what get us to the finish line.
I believe when we begin to see our lives this way and trust our future to a loving father, we are able to rest in the fact that He is working in every situation we confront. Instead of taking matters into our own hands, we can surrender them to the One who is directing our path and release all control to Him.
Letting go and laying down before Him the circumstances that worry us is how we find peace and security in the face of what is to come. Anxiety begins to creep when we try to control that, which we never had control over anyway. It is better to trust God with it.
Today, let’s transfer all responsibility and tomorrow’s results into God’s loving hands. Let’s trust that His plans and blueprints for our lives are good. He can do much more with our surrender than what we can do with our control! And although the structure of our lives at times may be shaken, we know He will not let us crumble. He will see us all through to the end.
