Grow With God: 31 Day DevotionalSample
YOU WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED
DAY TWENTY TWO OF THIRTY ONE
Many people in the Body of Christ highlight the importance of being a "good person", but don’t really address the transformation that happens when you give your life to Christ and make Him your Lord and Savior.
When I was younger, I thought I didn’t have a valid testimony because I had always grown up in church. I didn’t have this huge backstory of what my life was like before Christ, so I wasn’t sure how that was beneficial in witnessing to others.
My Mom encouraged me by letting me know what a big deal it was to be raised in a Christian household and avoid many of the unfortunate things teenagers like me were doing. That wasn’t something you heard of often.
As far as my “big transformation”, little did I know that this would come when I was well into adulthood. Being under the spiritual covering of your parents is not the same as braving the world on your own. I had to decide if I would sink or swim. I sunk for a long time…before I asked God to show me what Plan He had for my life.
During a pruning season, I got a Word from God that I would be “unrecognizable” by the time this process was over. Three years in, and I actually do feel like a brand new person. From the inside out, He transformed me. It truly is amazing the difference between being a “good person” and a “God-led person”.
Prayer: Ask God to show you any areas in your life that need to be made brand new. Is there anything you’re doing to be more like the world instead of more like Jesus?

About this Plan
This 31-day journey will help you commit to: growing in faith, growing in hope, and growing in LOVE for God and others. Each day gives practical advice on how to deepen your walk with Jesus through Scripture as well as personal lessons I've learned in my own walk with The Lord.
