When You're Worried About Loved OnesSample

When You're Worried About Loved Ones

DAY 3 OF 3

AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT TO PRAY

Here’s an example of what I prayed that night over my loved ones. I read each of the verses aloud, then made these confessions – and you can too!

1. Isaiah 41:10 (amp) ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Confess: Father, I refuse to fear over ______. I believe You are with them! I am assured that you’re helping them. Thank you for strengthening them and upholding them with your right hand of power and victory.

2. Psalm 40:2-3 - He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord. Confess: Lord, You are bringing _____ out of this situation and setting them on a firm foundation. You’re putting a new song in their mouth! A good testimony will come from this; many will see and come to trust in You.

3. James 4:8 - Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Confess: I believe this situation is drawing them closer and closer to you, which is always a good thing. They will seek you and find you and you will meet every one of their needs.

4. Romans 8:28 - And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Confess: Father, I know that You are working in _______’s situation right now! And no matter what it looks like right now, You are causing it to turn out good for them. You know exactly how to bring them to victory.

5. 2 Corinthians 2:14– Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ. Confess: Thank you, Lord, that you are causing ______ to triumph in this situation. “Always” means always! You are working and this is turning out well.

I’m happy to report that things began to turn around for my loved ones almost immediately. So instead of feeling bad for someone over the circumstances in their life, look into God’s Word, get into faith, pray for them, and expect God to answer!
