Before jumping into something big together, especially one as personal as spiritual growth, it’s important that you’re doing it for the right reasons and similar ones. Whether it’s to grow spiritually, understand each other's values better, or strengthen your relationship with God and each other, explaining your motivations can help your partner understand the importance of giving it a try.

We’re called as Christians to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus (2 Peter 3:18), and Bible study is a great way to do that. However, it requires some seriousness. While it can definitely be fun, it’s important to make sure you’re going in with the same intentions.

When you're upfront about what you're hoping to achieve, it opens up the floor for some real talk. This doesn't just get you both excited about exploring together but also makes sure you both see how important this is. It's about getting on the same wavelength, respecting where the other person is coming from, and being clear about what you both want to get out of it. Kicking things off this way is key to creating a space where you both feel appreciated and listened to, setting the stage for a truly special and growth-filled journey together.
