Day 1: God Speaks Through His Word

Devotional:

When I was a little girl, hearing the sermon preached in the church was my least favorite part of service. Can you relate? At the time I didn’t feel like the Word had anything to do with me due to my inability to comprehend and relate to what was being said. This resulted in me blocking the Word out completely. When I began college, my obsession with deepening my relationship with God sparked my desire to attempt to understand His Word. Through His Word, I began to see the answers to unanswered prayers; and solutions to plaguing problems in my life. Everything I needed was in His Word.

Reading the Bible can be very intimidating but find strength and encouragement in knowing that God will meet you where you are. All you must do is be open to the opportunity. Use this Plan as an opportunity to explore His Word through the Scriptures given. Let each word speak to your heart.

Scripture Breakdown:

God encourages us in 2 Timothy 3 to hold tightly to the truths presented in His Word for they are meant to give us wisdom that leads to Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Every Scripture written is sealed with the Breath of God with the intent to instruct, convict, correct, and equip us to carry out His Good Works. Find comfort in knowing that we serve a God who continues to provide us with ALL that we need.

2. Use the Bible app/internet to help you find a Scripture that speaks to your circumstance.

3. Pray and meditate on the Scripture.
