WE ARE NOURISHING

“Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. The Word of God is our soul food. It guides and nourishes our lives. Jesus said we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The roots of the olive tree continuously stretch forth, seeking water sources and the nutrients necessary for the tree’s growth, health, and overall vitality and to provide nourishment to neighboring plants.

The elders of society offer guidance and encouragement to the younger generation as they struggle to find their way through the uncertainties of life. As the root nourishes the tree, seniors nourish and support society.

The Bible instructs older men and women to model behavior that reflects holiness, teaching that which edifies, nourishing younger people so they may become godly spouses and parents that honor God (Titus 2:3-5 NIV).

AFFIRMATION: I am a source of guidance and encouragement, rooted in the wisdom of my experiences, nourishing and supporting generations, as they find their way through life's uncertainties. My presence is a source of strength and wisdom, fostering growth and resilience in those who look to me for guidance. I contribute to the flourishing of the collective spirit, knowing that my support is a vital part of the interconnected tapestry of society.
