Sand And Stars By Covenant WorshipNäide

All Things
We all have a circumstance we are facing that we have difficulty understanding, whether it is our own situation or someone close to us. There is a diagnosis, a tragedy, a loss…and we wonder, why is God allowing this?
Where is God in this situation? For me, the questioning came about four years ago when our youngest son was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Although I had faced trials before, nothing compared to the deep sense of loss and heartbreak I experienced with his diagnosis. But, here is what I know:
God is good. God doesn’t allow or cause bad things to happen to us to somehow work something good into our character or make us more like Christ.
The fact that we live in a fallen world ensures that there will be pain, heartbreak, and lack in this life. But the Father is the Master Creator – only He knows how to take it ALL – and make something beautiful. As we continue to TRUST Him (the ultimate walk of faith), He is working it out for us.
