What Makes God Trustworthy?Sample
God is trustworthy because He has all wisdom
It’s impossible for us to know everything. We can only see a portion of the canvas, and we rarely understand the full picture. But God sees every single detail of every single thing happening at every single moment in time.
Think about that for a second. Right now, God knows everything about every human being in the entire world. He knows their past, present, and future. He knows every choice they’ll make. Nothing is a surprise to Him. For us, it’s wild to comprehend.
Another word for this is “omniscient”. God is omniscient which means He has infinite knowledge and understanding.
Scripture declares that God is wise. He is all knowing. Isaiah 40 talks about how God never grows tired or weary, and that no one can fathom the understanding God has.
God knows everything about what might happen, but also knows every secret we never want to tell. He knows it all. He knows your pain points, what embarrasses you, what gets you excited to wake up in the morning. He knows the dreams of your heart that you’ve never even spoken. Psalm 139 says that even your darkness isn’t dark to God. He knows you. He has all understanding, and is entirely wise.
God knows everything, which means He is trustworthy. He sees everything we cannot see. He holds your future, and He knows the plans He has for you.
You can trust God not just because He is good, but because He is wise. He sees everything, he knows everything about you, and He loves you infinitely.
Because God is wise, He is trustworthy.
Spend some time in prayer with Jesus, considering how He knows everything about everyone, and yet that doesn’t change the love He has for you. Consider how His wisdom makes Him trustworthy.
