The Huddle by Motivation in MotionSample
Welcome to Day 1 of Discovering Your Huddle Bible Plan
Today we will dive into the concept of a "Huddle" and explore what it means in our lives. Like in sports, we all have our own huddle, and today we'll ask, "What does your huddle look like?"
I want to start by sharing a bit of my personal journey. I was a walk-on at the University of Oklahoma, where I felt like I didn't belong. I barely played in high school, and being around such talented, physical athletes was intimidating. But I remember feeling called to be there.
One moment that stands out is a picture of me in a college huddle during a game. I'm in uniform, surrounded by these massive, talented athletes. My daughter looked at the picture and thought it was from my junior high days because I barely came up to the top of the shoulder pads of the guy next to me. But no, that was my college huddle. It's a powerful visual of how it feels to be uncomfortable, out of your element, yet called to be there.
So, what does YOUR huddle look like?
Who are the people you surround yourself with in your life's huddle? Think about the few individuals you trust and rely on, just like in a sports huddle. You enter, make a decision, run a play, execute it, and then come back to do it again. It's a great analogy for what we need in our lives as we embark on different plans and journeys God’s called us to do.
I hope you'll enjoy the football analogies and coaching references we'll be using throughout these plans. They can provide valuable insights into our own lives. But more importantly, let's focus on what your huddle should look like based on the word of God and the kind of men and women you should have in that close circle to select and execute plays in your life.
Let's close with a reflection on what your personal huddle looks like.
Take some time to ponder this question and consider the Bible references we'll explore in the following days to gain insight into shaping your life's huddle according to God's plan.
