It's PersonalSample
Sometimes when we are in the midst of the most difficult circumstances the emotions that come in those moments feel like they will last forever. The challenging times seem to take up the entire scope of our vision. David, the author of this psalm was probably writing from personal experience. We know from Scripture he experienced incredibly challenging relationships, betrayal, pain, personal sin, and failure. He also knew what it was like to be so caught up in the emotion and the pain to feel like it would never end. That makes his words so much more powerful. Weeping lasts for a night, he wrote, but joy comes in the morning.
Whatever we are going through, it can be easy to think it will never change and it will last forever. We need reminders like this from David or from friends and mentors and other wise voices in our lives to hang in there. We need voices from outside of our circumstances to give us the perspective we can’t have where we are.
If you feel like you are in an especially hard season, you aren’t alone and you aren’t stuck there forever.

About this Plan
Everyone is different, yet we all share a common quality. Deep down, we were created to be deeply known by others and by God. We were made to experience relationships with others and a relationship with God that’s personal. Because when it’s personal, it changes things. Things matter more. People matter more. Over the next few weeks, we will discover a personal God and what that means for us.
