CLOSING THOUGHTS

Thank You for coming on this short journey through India. God is working in inexpressible ways.

This last photo is of a woman I visited in my travels. She is illiterate and doesn’t even understand the alphabet. When a local pastor (a good friend of mine) met her, she wanted to learn more about God and how to pray. One day, God opened her eyes and she can now read the Bible (even though she still can’t read or understand the alphabet). To our amazement, she demonstrated this for us. After we prayed for her, we asked if she would pray for us; she agreed. From the moment she stood up and opened her mouth, you could feel the Spirit of God pour out of her; words cannot even describe it; my whole body just became numb.

God is doing great things. May He open up our eyes so that we might see His glory.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10). Thank You, Jesus, for teaching us how to pray and comforting us through the presence of Your Spirit.

You have told us not to worry about our lives, what we will eat or drink, or about our bodies and what we will wear — for life is more than food, and the body more than clothes (Matthew 6:25). Help us to be fervent in prayer as we seek to put our trust in You for all things.

Please work in our lives in a way that would cause us to pray more and humble ourselves before You. Help us to be men and women who trust in Your power, confident that You will be faithful to complete the work that You started in us (Philippians 1:6). May we be forever thankful for the salvation You have provided us through Jesus — He is more than enough.

Have I cultivated a consistent habit of prayer, or do I find myself neglecting or rushing through my prayer time?
