Growth.
When we think of this word, all kinds of images come to mind. Images of prosperity, of increase, images of abundance in bountiful measure.
But as you read this section of Acts, you might be surprised by what growth looks like from God’s perspective.
Spoiler alert: it’s different from what we think.
As you read, keep in mind that there are always two narratives working together: our perspective and God’s perspective. And as you continue on your journey through the book of Acts, remember that God’s perspective (his ways, his plans) is always at work. It was true then, and it is true now.
If you haven’t done so yet, we would encourage you to build the habit of engaging with the Explore, Ask, and Live sections by typing your responses directly into your device. The practice of reflecting through writing is a valuable tool; we trust that in doing so, you will learn more about yourself, more about God, and more about how he is working in your life.
And through this process, may you experience great and wonderful growth.

About this Plan

(Part three of a four part journey through the Books of Acts.) Even in (and especially in?) hard times, God is present and is working to build His Church. We can find encouragement in this. When circumstances force us to pivot, we don’t have to lose heart - God is with us.
