Understanding PeaceSample
Following the Way of Peace
Today, we’ll cover the fourth and fifth vital truths for a peace-filled lifestyle as God’s children and then review all five.
The fourth letter of the word peace is C. In our acronym, C stands for choose to follow. Zechariah, the New Testament prophet, said that God would guide our feet, not that He would force our feet. We must decide where we put our feet. We must choose to follow Him, who is gracious, who has paid the penalty of our disobedience, who has chosen to include us, who accomplished our salvation because of His mercy, and who is committed to walk with us and to guide us. At every moment, with each decision, and every day of our lives, we must choose to follow Him, the Prince of Peace.
The fifth and final letter of the word peace is E. It stands for everything is going to be all right. According to Scripture, God will not only guide our feet, but He will guide us into the way of peace. Regardless of our circumstances, we can trust that He guides us in the way of peace. When seemingly impossible obstacles lay before us, we can remember that He guides us in the way of peace. Because of God’s guidance, we are assured that everything will be all right. The Prince of Peace never leaves us nor forsakes us. Peace will bring us through every time.
We can be thankful for five vital truths that make God’s peace our daily reality:
1. P: The penalty is paid.
2. E: Everyone is included.
3. A: Acknowledge God’s gift.
4. C: Choose to follow Him.
5. E: Everything is going to be alright.
Remember this acronym and know that lasting peace is yours through our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.
