How to Start Talking to Your People About JesusSample
You Know Enough for Any Moment You Find Yourself In
Do you believe Jesus came for you? Then exercise that same faith in believing Jesus can come to others. Do you believe Jesus loves them? Then act with that same love so they feel it for themselves. When you pay attention to those who are around you and the Spirit who is active inside you, a participation begins.
When we are aware, we bring Jesus into the presence of people, and a joy wells in us that is satisfying.
Can you say, “I love you too much to not share Jesus” to those you meet? We don’t love in order to convert. We love because we’ve encountered Jesus. He is changing our lives, and it would be a hate crime to keep His love from others.
I’d answer your call in the middle of the night.
I’d buy you food if you had none.
I’d get you to a doctor if you were sick.
I’d come and sit with you if you were grieving.
You must understand I’d also introduce you to Jesus if you haven’t met Him or have run from Him.
I asked three of my non-Christian friends, “If you didn’t know anything about Christianity, how would you want to be told about it?” Here are their responses:
“Tell me your story.”
“Explain the facts.”
“Invite me to what you’re a part of.”
Christ follower, this is how you translate Jesus to people who don’t know Him. You share what you know through your personal story. You explain the facts of the cross. You invite your non-Christian friends into meaningful conversations. Translating Jesus needs to create awe of who He might be and how He could be in their lives.
Prayer: Jesus, help me make You personal so I can make You practical.

About this Plan
The language of faith is not the language of culture. We may use some of the same words, but they rarely mean the same thing. If we are to effectively share our faith, we have to translate Jesus so he can be understood. Change the way you think about sharing God's good news–and the way others hear it! Pastor and teacher Shauna Pilgreen is excited to show you how.
