Knowing God

DAY 4 OF 4

KNOWING GOD THROUGH PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

1 John 1:1 NIV

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life."

Today, we focus on the reality that God is not a theory but a tangible presence we can experience. Let's embark on a journey to know and experience God more intimately

God is not a theory. He is real and can be known experientially. A lot of times, we are tempted to reduce Him to just what we read, but deep down in our hearts, we long for a personal experience of Him. Wanting to experience God is not a result of a lack of faith; rather, it is our heart yearning to know the One in whom we believe more intimately.

Knowing God and experiencing Him would mean knowing His joy, peace, love, etc., experientially. While studying the scriptures is pivotal in experiencing God and His joy and love, it does no good if it remains just a doctrine we know. As we receive the doctrine by faith and step out daily, knowing we can experience what we have read or studied, we will discover that all we read about God is to be believed and then experienced. So today, you can start by believing that all of God's promises you have read are yours, and you can experience them today.

As we conclude this devotional plan, let's keep in mind that our yearning to experience God is a genuine desire to know Him more intimately. Embrace the belief that you can experience God's promises in your life today and deepen your relationship with Him.
