Habits

Each day is a gift and how we treat our bodies is important.

Creating strong daily habits is key to growth and every day is a new opportunity to lead your family. Psalm 118:24 tells us to rejoice and be glad in each day. A leader should always give God the glory for the blessing of a new day and not miss a chance to get stronger in all aspects. Daily habits such as praise, prayer, movement, study, and preparation can set you up for success.

Finding your own ritual that works for you is key, and you should challenge yourself to incorporate each element in your daily routine. If your body is going to be able to fight the battle it will surely face, you should work on building strength and endurance daily.

Depending on where you are in your health journey, some of these elements may be harder to stick to than others. If you enjoy running and you wake up to a downpour, you should have backup alternatives so you can stay on track. Satan wants you to be weak–do not let this happen. Create habits that will prepare you for the day that lies ahead.

  1. What are some habits you have that prepare your body for spiritual warfare?
  2. Do you worship at the altar of your smartphone in the morning? If so, how can you change your routine to prioritize maintaining your physical and spiritual health?
  3. What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?

You must be intentional about taking care of your body. We can look forward to having glorified bodies in Heaven, but for now, we need to maintain and care for our current body. To serve Him at the highest level, your body must be always ready for battle. We will dig into several areas that you can zone in on to grow in physical strength and access the Lion within!
