Lessons From DavidNäide

PASSION FOR GOD
A defining trait of David's life was his passion & hunger for God! He lives his life as a worshipper.
One marked moment in scripture was when the Ark of the Covenant (a holy golden chest that was a symbol of God's presence) was brought back to Jerusalem after being taken. David led the people in celebrating this big spiritual moment. During their worship, the Bible says that David "was dancing before the Lord with all his might." If that happened in most churches, people would have looked at David a little strangely. And that happened when David's wife was embarrassed and despised him for doing this.
David cared more about worshipping God than what people thought of him. His response to his wife was, "...I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes."
How much passion & hunger do you have for God?
