HOW WE THINK WE BECOMESample

HOW WE THINK WE BECOME

DAY 3 OF 3

TRANSFORM OUR THINKING AND WHAT WE SPEAK FORTH

Again, God spoke life into existence at creation, and He told us to choose life, yet I hear people all the time, (and I’ve been guilty) speaking negativity, which studies have proven can affect our health! What is in our minds becomes who we are.

If we constantly talk about what is wrong in our bodies, those thoughts become our mindset and block the ability to think about what is right in our bodies. If a person dislikes their job and is always focused on why they don’t like it, they block out the ability to see things that are positive about the job. Let us look at a visual through words:

NEGATIVE VS. POSITIVE

I’m fat, I will never lose weight. VS. I want to lose weight and will give it my best!

Ugh, It’s morning. VS. Good morning, Lord! Thank You for my life!

I will never be able to figure this out. VS. I can figure this out with a little help!

Everyone notices my disability. VS. I am different, but may my disability honor God!

We constantly have a war going on in our minds, but because we have the power within us to transform our thinking, we can win the war over speaking negative things into our life!

GOD LIVES IN US THROUGH THE POWER OF THE WORD, so why do we use words that tear down?

Romans 12:2 tells us that we have the power to transform our minds.

God has a will for our life, and it isn’t to tear it down through the thoughtless words we speak each day. God gave us the power to be different than the world. When others are speaking their negative thoughts, we, as Christ’s followers, need more than ever to speak life-giving words!

LIFE EXAMPLE OF WORD POWER: As I write this devotional, I believe the United States is far from united politically. It has been divided by terrible words published on social media, and politicians slandering each other. Can you imagine if each one would transform their mind and speak words to build up? A change would happen across the land!

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the ability to speak and for a mind that can be transformed. Father, we only want to speak words that build, not tear down. In Jesus Name. Amen

Day 2

About this Plan

HOW WE THINK WE BECOME

The power of what we speak is vital! At creation, God "spoke" everything into existence. Parents, out of frustration, often tear down their children through words when God ordained us to speak words that build. People speak negativity over health, relationships, finances, government, and other areas of life. Please join me as we learn about the power of words.
