Read Luke 1:5-10

Today we begin to look at the birth of Jesus. We start with the background of John the Baptist and his parents because John the Baptist was the prophet who would announce the coming of Jesus.

Pray

Pray that you would see God’s ‘background’ plan in your life. Pray that you would have faith in what God is doing behind the scenes to get you where you need to be in life as long as you take small steps to follow Jesus in all that you do.

Practice

Send a note or a text to a young person in your life – someone who needs a little extra appreciation for what they do. Make sure you help them feel special by appreciating who they are.
