EASTER SPIRITUAL INVENTORYSample
MEANT
I titled today's devotion with one word; Meant! I did that because it's easy for us to feel more spiritual during Easter and Christmas; however, God 'meant' for us to be consistent with our spiritual walk.
It is a fact that church attendance is up on these two occasions. James 4:14 is a scripture I want us to remember because we live as if we always have time and as if there will always be a tomorrow. I realize attending church is impossible for some because of health issues, so we need to be the church either way!
Whether at home, at work, at the grocery store, on vacation, or at a meeting for some organization, we are to be an example of Christ before others.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-24
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Even though Easter is an annual celebration of victory because of what Jesus did through His Crucifixion, Burial, and Resurrection, we need to honor what He did for us each day!
We must realize that Lent isn't just a 40-day season; it is a lifestyle.
I don't know about you, but I want my life to be so close in relationship with Him that when life comes to finality on earth, the transition is easy! Each night that I lay my head on the pillow, I want to feel I did my best that day to please Him! I want to be a person who encourages, builds others up, and walks daily knowing life is meant for a reason!
Practice: As part of our Easter spiritual inventory, I encourage each of us, for one week, to keep a record of daily activities. Why? When we review our week, we can see areas that need improvement and rejoice in our victories made! By documenting your day, you may discover you are on social media far more than you realized yet rejoice when you exercise patience by allowing another person to go ahead in the grocery line.

About this Plan
Easter comes once a year, but God meant for us to live it daily. God created you and me in His image, and He ‘lent’ us a designated time upon earth, as we are ‘meant’ to fulfill a purpose. God ‘sent’ Jesus as a sacrificial lamb to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Easter is a great time to take spiritual inventory so we can live our purpose!
