Amplify in the Dawn - Living the Lord's PrayerNäide

THE PATHMAKER
WORD
For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. - Psalm 1:6
THOUGHT
If you enjoy hiking, you probably frequent several favorite trails. I myself have a few familiar routes I routinely enjoy, and since I frequent them often, I know what’s ahead: steep inclines, tree roots that have grown across the trail, a cliff that can cause hazards, and places where snakes rest.
Although we can be familiar with what is ahead on our own regular hiking trails, unfortunately, it is not so with life. But God is familiar with our paths. He is acquainted with every step. He is the divine trail guide. We can rest knowing that God is the maker of the path on which he leads us—and he’s familiar with every detail ahead.
We are limited in our ability to process and prepare for everything that may come. However, God knows the way and is prepared to assist us at each step and every challenge. The Bible instructs and encourages the follower of God to trust him without reservation for this very reason: we will never know our path as he does. However, Jesus said, “I am the way,” and indeed he is. Follow him. Trust him.
PRAYER - Don’t let us yield to temptation.
Lord, you have made a path for my feet to walk. You are the God of all creation, and you know every facet and feature before me this day. I ask for your guidance as you watch over my steps and lead me away from the evil one. May I accomplish each task you have designed for me, and may I worship and honor you as I enjoy the beauty of your magnificence. Amen.
