The Lord Bless You

DAY 3 OF 5

A benefit of practicing an intentional consciousness of how much God wants to bless other people through you is experiencing vast waves of His blessings in your life.

Our relationship with God is not just about our relationship with God: It is about our relationship with God and others. He is our Father. Jesus told us that the two most important things we can do are to love God and love others. He also told us that our love for one another is a true model of our love for Him.

Throughout Scripture, blessing came not only directly from God to people, but from people to people. We have the privilege of being able to mediate blessing from God to others. He has chosen to bless people through us.

Your relationships can become sacraments of blessing when you see other people’s needs and potential and invoke God’s blessing over their lives. God’s desire to do good is released in and through you in a relationship in that way.

Yes, people are blessed directly by God, but God also uses human beings in relationship as a conduit for blessing. Our children need to be blessed by us. Our spouses need to be blessed by us. Our friends need to be blessed by us. Our neighbors need to be blessed by us. Strangers need to be blessed by us. Think of yourself as a blessing contagion infecting everyone with something supernatural and inexplicably wonderful.

You are a living, breathing blessing transmitter.

Begin to give attention to how much the people around us need and want to be blessed. Consciously concentrate on the people in our lives and purposely conduct God’s presence and blessing through those relationships. Will you increase your awareness today of how much God wants to use you to mediate His blessing to others?
