Love God Greatly - Walking in WisdomNäide

SOAP – Proverbs 4:23
Believers are told to guard our hearts with all diligence. We must be careful about what we think and meditate upon, because what is in our hearts will be reflected in our actions, our behavior, and our speech. We are to fill our hearts with what is good so that nothing but good proceeds from it.
What has been overwhelming your thoughts? Since sin always begins in our minds, believers must take every thought captive so that it conforms to the will of God. Meditating on true, pure, and positive thoughts will help to build a fence of protection around our hearts.
Father God, I thank You for grace that is new every morning. Your grace gives me something good that I can meditate on each day. Lord, help me to protect my heart and mind from negative thoughts. Help me to take captive every thought and bend it to Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

This study points to a topical look at Proverbs and the key themes of wisdom in our speech, our relationships, our work and wealth, and in the face of temptation. Trust in the Lord instead of your own understanding is where the book of Proverbs ultimately leads us. God is the source of all wisdom, He uses these proverbs to show us the path that leads to wisdom, and He reveals to us the fruit of walking in this great wisdom… so that our trust is ultimately not in our floundering ways, but can be found securely in Him.
