THOUGHT OF THE DAY
God continuously invites us into an ongoing relationship with Him. As a result of that relationship, our spirits and souls long to praise and worship our Father. Most often when we think of worship, we think of the time we spend singing during the weekend services before the message. There are more ways and opportunities to worship God! Worship can look significantly different than just singing on a Sunday. Worship is a dedication and consecration of yourself to God.
Plan a Sunday evening gathering with your closest friends. Dedicating the evening to hosting your friends, eating together, laughing together, enjoying food together, hearing stories from each other, and praying for each other. By doing this, you are setting aside your time to honour God and be like Jesus as you push back against selfishness and foster a community of people who are seeking God.
Today, take some time to note some creative ways that you can dedicate your life to worshiping God. Where can you take the mundane, ordinary moments of life and intentionally turn them to worship?
GUIDED PRAYER
Lord, forgive me for when I have forgotten to praise You. I want to exalt You in and with my life. I lift You up, You are my God, and I give You glory. Jesus You are my king, and I will faithfully follow You for the rest of my life. I thank You for the blessings that are my family, my church, and the freedom I have found in You. I praise You for the goodness and grace You have shown me, and I thank You for saving me. I love You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
