Ssshhh... Can You Hear It? Listening to God's Voice in Your LifeSample
Listening carefully for His voice
Yesterday, I shared that I'd received a notice out of nowhere to vacate my apartment "due to owner's extenuating circumstances." Eventually, I was very grateful to have a nicer apartment! However, a few years later, I received another letter—this time, regarding a rent increase. The situation began to subconsciously stress me out so much that I could no longer sleep peacefully.
Has anything similar ever happened to you? While normal, situations like these can trigger restlessness in us because—let's be honest—we're afraid! Though we're on the other side of the pandemic, cost increases have become a real problem for some of us. It can be a real challenge to give our anxiety to the Lord!
After another sleepless night, I sat down at my table where I always have my quiet time, and my eyes immediately fell on the following verse:
"'...You will eat your fill and live securely in your own land.'" (Leviticus 26:5, NLT)
Shortly afterward, I read this verse: "They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers." (Matthew 14:20, NLT)
Do you know what? God knows what new situation you may face today. But He is also the God who has the answer and the ability to help you right now! He not only wants you to be full…but to have an abundance! "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:8, NKJV)
That's why it's so important that you take time with Jesus! Otherwise, the lie that He doesn't communicate with you (or that you can't hear Him) will take up more and more space in your life.
We can't expect to hear from God if we don't become silent and listen for His voice. In this silence, He longs to show you that He has everything figured out, even your very greatest concerns!
We can hear God only if we listen.
I pray you experience a breakthrough in your time with Jesus today!
You are a miracle!

About this Plan
I know when someone is listening. They don’t just listen with their ears. They listen with their bodies. Their eyes are focused, and their posture is poised for listening. Friend, is that something you desire - to hear God and know His voice? Is there something you can learn to listen better? If the answer is yes, then spend some time reflecting on what it means to really listen to God’s voice.
