Book By Book 1: Genesis To 2 SamuelSample
Deuteronomy goes on to remind the people of more laws and summarizes the results of obedience and disobedience. Israel’s role was to obey God so he could make them the greatest nation on earth. When that happened, all the other people would see their success and want to worship God as well. However, if they disobeyed, things would not go well for them. Unfortunately, Israel experiences much more of the negative results of disobedience rather than the positive results of obedience, so they end up with little impact on the surrounding nations.
A Christian’s sin can prevent people from coming to Christ. If life is a mess due to disobedience to God, there is nothing attractive about it. If a Christian has faith and obeys God, even when going through tough times, there is a strength people find attractive. We should pray our lives will open doors for people to trust Christ!
