Keep Your Love On: Devotions For Couples

DAY 2 OF 7

Connection Goal

You and your spouse will begin to experience love when your goal is connection. If your goal is to create a safe distance, that’s easy. You don’t need help doing that. But you will not find marital satisfaction or intimacy in distance. A goal that makes you pursue each other and move toward each other even when you are hurt or disconnected requires each of you to take responsibility for your part.

Whatever you decide is your choice and your responsibility, but if you want to work on creating connections with each other, you have to identify whether one or both of you have turned your love off. You have to be willing to ask the hard questions and choose to keep your love on, or turn it back on, whatever the case may be.

Father, we can grow together in You and begin to bear good fruit. Without You, there is no way we can choose love and connection. You are love. Help us to pursue each other even when we are hurt. We want to abide in You and keep our love on.

How can you pursue a goal of connection today?
