The Battle Belongs

We can fight for relationship confident that in Jesus, we already stand victorious. He is the victor. The battle has been won – it’s nothing that we did, it’s everything Jesus did. Our role is to now recognize that a war is still at hand on this side of eternity – a spiritual war. What we choose to do here on this earth, on our team, and with the armor that we’ve been given can be strategic and full of wisdom.

Do you know that there is an enemy who is out to steal, kill and destroy the relationships in your life? Your relationship with God. Your relationship with your spouse. Your relationship with your kids. Your relationship with your in-laws, your coworkers, and with strangers – people you disagree with.

As Jesus People, we have the ability to fight for relationship with the full armor of God.

In our reading today, Paul reminds us that God sends us into battle with everything we could possibly need. What a grace that our God knows just what we need before we even ask.

As Jesus people, we are on the frontlines of fighting for relationships each and every day. We can stand firm in the strength of our King here and now, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the enemy.

Are you prepared for the battle today? Remember that the battle belongs to Jesus. We are on the battlefield with the Victor.

Pray: Ask that God would give you His full armor today. That He would equip you with the tools you need to fight for relationship with Him and with others.
