Be Still: 15 More Days With GodSample
IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. JOHN 14:27
When we enjoy fellowship with the Lord, we dwell in a realm far above all the trivial issues that occupy our hearts in this world. We learn to let lesser things go! And since Jesus said that He would be with us, we can have peace even through any significant distress, resting in His promise.
We need no longer be like waves driven and tossed in the wind of circumstances, whether good or bad. We no longer need to be frustrated, in turmoil and confused. When Jesus promises to take us to the other side as He did with his disciples on the boat, we can rest peaceably during the storm because He is with us. Regard not the storm as anything more than a tool in God’s hand, testing and strengthening our resolve to trust in Him.
Jesus promised his Holy Spirit to those who believe in Him for all the comfort, strength, and peace to weather any storm and climb any mountain. Do you have this kind of comfort in your life? Why not ask the Holy Spirit to fill you today?

About this Plan
"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We must learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
