Jesus First for WomenNäide

A Good Life
Today’s verse from 2 Corinthians 13:11 is a benediction from Paul. It is a blessing and an encouragement at the closing of his second letter to the believers in Corinth. After a day of celebration yesterday, you may find yourself just wanting to rest and recuperate today. Enjoy this time rather than be let down by it.
Be joyful for whatever is yours. Continue to grow to maturity; that might look like giving yourself space to clean, rest, or spend time with your loved ones. Encourage each other. Don’t give up speaking words of life to those around you. Live in harmony and peace. Don’t let little squabbles keep you from loving each other. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.May you know his presence in your midst today.
Jesus, thank you for your presence and your goodness. Where I might feel discouraged today, I ask for your perspective to shift my own.

About this Plan

Being alone with God to start the day was an example set by Jesus himself! He got up before daylight to pray in a solitary place. It was his way of connecting with the Father before doing anything else. As you quiet yourself before him and meditate on these devotions and Scriptures from "Jesus First for Women," experience the goodness of his presence and be refreshed with his perfect peace.
