The Lord Is With You

Everything that Joseph had was stripped away. His privileged position in his father’s house, his freedom, his wealth, and his comfort. But the Lord was with Joseph to sustain him in the midst of the trial, and it appears that Joseph clung tightly to the Lord.

‘The Lord was with Joseph.’ The Bible wants us to see that even in our sufferings, the Lord hasn’t gone away. The Lord was with Joseph as he suffered and in the midst of his sufferings, even there in prison, the Lord made him succeed. God gave Joseph success. What does success look like in prison? What does success look like in the middle of your circumstances that are hard or painful? Success looks like trusting in God, leaning on His strength, and God will prove Himself trustworthy. He will prove Himself strong on your behalf.

The God of the universe is with you and He wants to strengthen you. This is the constant truth repeated throughout the Bible. Jesus said to His disciples, "... I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20b NKJV). Whatever’s going on in your life, hear this truth: the Lord is with you; you are not alone. Our God is always with His people to see them through their trials, to accomplish His plans in their lives, and to use them to point a lost world to Himself.
