Your God-Given Value

DAY 5 OF 5

Love Defined

The way I see it, many topics discussed in the Holy Bible are simple yet somehow made complex. Most concepts can be plainly stated (with a few words) but are complicated by our sin. Sin makes a simple concept (born out of love) complicated and difficult to understand. Love is one of those topics, and I would argue, the most valuable subject of them all.

Friends, we cannot begin to understand our value until we first understand the value God our Father assigned to us the moment that we were created. Also, we must factor into our value the love shown to us by Jesus’ death and sacrifice for our salvation. Next, let’s not forget to add in the gift of the ability to give and receive love – what a priceless joy! Finally, now that you understand how intrinsically love is such a huge factor in understanding our God-given value, it’s time to add it all up.

The sum of our value (as it is wrapped up in love) is directly related to the way love should be defined. The only proper way to define love is how the Holy Bible defines it (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). This definition of love is the exact way that God loves you. Your value is innumerable! Anything less than God’s definition is not enough and falls short of your total worth. This is the same love that you should measure every relationship against in your life. You should not accept anything less, and you must never forget how much the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit love and value your very existence. God wishes for you to experience this same love with others on earth. God loves and cares for you more than your human mind could ever comprehend – now that’s luxury value!

We hope this plan encouraged you.

About this Plan

Your God-Given Value

It is not an easy task to understand our importance as viewed in God’s eyes, nor the depth or complexity of the love that He has for us. This 5-Day Devotional is designed to help you view yourself more closely to the way your Creator views you – with love, value, and worth.
